Job Description And Duties Under the general direction of the Office Chief of Project Management, the Senior Transportation Planner is responsible for tracking and coordinating public engagement efforts within the district, coordinating the Quality Management Assessment Process (QMAP) encroachment permit projects administered by others on the State Highway System, and for serving as the program specialist for Non‑SHOPP and STIP programs. The incumbent will communicate and coordinate with the Project Development Teams and the encroachment permit applicants to provide the support necessary for successful QMAP project delivery. As the program specialist for non‑SHOPP and STIP programs, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring and coordinating project programming and funding, considering the unique timelines and procedures for each non‑SHOPP program. In addition, the incumbent keeps the Office Chief of Project Management informed of all major issues that cannot be resolved at the Project Development Team level and assists with engagement coordination by communicating with the District Engagement Coordinator.
