Resident Project Rep - Water/Wastewater

Barge is seeking a Resident Project Representative (RPR) with water treatment experience for an opportunity in Columbus, GA. This role will be responsible for ensuring construction work performed by contractors aligns to the standards defined by the Water Services Engineer and Project Manager.
The RPR will spend time on-site observing construction phases, including quality control, constructability, and completeness, providing regular updates to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Providing technical expertise and support on large facilities water/wastewater-oriented construction projects. Reviewing work of contractors conducting onsite observations of the general progress of the work. Assisting Engineer in providing interpretation of the construction contract documents. Assisting Engineer in serving as Owner’s liaison with the Contractor. Monitoring changes of apparent integrity of the site. Visually inspecting materials, equipment, and supplies delivered to the worksite. Coordinating onsite materials testing services during construction. Preparing daily inspection and activity reports. Submitting weekly construction progress reports. Upon substantial completion, inspecting the construction work with other design professionals of the Engineer. Providing photo log and logbook. Providing clear communication on project status to Project Managers at Barge and to Client. Performing other duties as required. Education & Experience Qualifications
6 - 10 years of water/wastewater experience including water treatment, piping, plumbing, and concrete. Ability to travel as needed. Working Conditions
The RPR Works In a Construction Site Area And Must Be Comfortable Working In Outdoor Environments With Various Weather Conditions And Noise Levels. Ability to walk, sit, stand, kneel, bend, push, pull, reach overhead. Ability to go into manholes or climb ladders up to 25 feet. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Why join us?
