The Department of Experiential Engineering Education (ExEEd) within the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering (HMRCoE) invites applications for postdoctoral research fellows appointed for up to a two‑year fellowship.
Responsibilities
Engage with faculty and their graduate students in ongoing research, resulting in intellectual contributions to the broader engineering education research community
Under the advisement of faculty mentors, mentor Ph.D., masters, or undergraduate students
Teaching
Engage in high‑quality, evidence‑based instruction in introductory undergraduate engineering courses (e.g., First‑year and Sophomore Engineering Clinics)
Develop innovative interdisciplinary projects, pedagogies, and curriculum
Contribute to a collaborative, interdisciplinary research community
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in an Engineering discipline, Engineering Education, STEM, or STEM Education or an equivalent field. Ph.D. must be conferred prior to appointment.
A B.S. or M.S. degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent field.
A record of scholarly achievement demonstrated through presentations, publications, and other scholarly outputs.
A commitment to working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds including women, students of color, LGBTQ students, first‑generation to college students, students with disabilities, students with low socioeconomic status, and veterans.
Desired Qualifications
For those whose Ph.D. is not in Engineering Education or STEM Education, a demonstrated interest in STEM Education
Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level
Start Date January 15, 2026, or a later date to be negotiated.

Salary and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is AFT: $66,166 – $68,922. Placement within the range will be determined by qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors. For eligible employees, benefits include comprehensive state health, dental and retirement benefits, accrued time off/paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement for employee, spouse, and dependents for undergraduate degrees.
