Job Summary / Purpose
Conducts training for licensed, non‑licensed operators, and shift technical advisors in reactor operations covering replacement, requalification, upgrade, etc., consistent with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) requirements. Develops and maintains operations training programs.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel. Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training. Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education: Desired: B.S. degree in education, engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Instructor, Ops Sr Staff: 5 years of nuclear plant experience (commercial or military) or a B.S. degree in education, engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience. At least five years of experience in the associated line organization.
Desired:
3 years previously licensed as PWR SRO.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Certificates, Licenses, Etc. Required: Instructor Ops, Sr Staff: Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or certification on BWR, PWR, or both.
