Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a skilled
AutoCAD Drafter
with a strong background in
telecom construction design . This role focuses on the preparation, coordination, and submission of Outside Plant (OSP) design and permitting packages for fiber optic networks.
Responsibilities
Draft Fiber to the Home (FTTH) and Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) designs using AutoCAD-generated maps.
Utilize AutoCAD Map 3D and GIS formats to produce construction-ready prints.
Prepare and submit permit applications and support documentation to local, state, and other regulatory agencies.
Ensure designs and permit packages comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NESC).
Collect and incorporate as-built data, field notes, survey data, and aerial imagery into project drawings.
Assemble and manage complete permit submittal packages.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and permitting authorities as needed.
Perform additional drafting and project-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in telecom or utility-related fields.
Proficiency in creating plans and profile drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience interpreting and drafting telecommunication network plans.
Previous work experience with telecom, construction, utility, or engineering firms.
Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus.
Familiarity with NESC standards and permitting processes.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
