PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER-MULTI-DISCIPLINARY - ( T229344 ) UAB Center for the Arts is the performing and visual arts sector of the University. The organization presents and hosts many live concert performances, theatre productions, and events throughout the year. This position supports these activities. The Production Stage Manager Multi-Disciplinary will have expertise and serves as a lead in one or more of the following theatrical production disciplines: stage management, audio, lighting, video, scenic and/or rigging. This role is responsible for overseeing stage operations, including setup, production, and strike. In addition, this position manages stagehands, over-hire staff, and technical crew, ensuring smooth stage operations and effective coordination. The production stage manager assists with stage setup and production, equipment needs, manages stage operations, manages over-hire, stagehands, and crew, provides general technology support, and has other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities

To oversee all aspects of stage operations, including managing rehearsals, performances, lectures, and various events. To coordinate between backstage teams, front-of-house staff, and clients while supervising technical crews involved in set-up, operation, and strike. To ensure the safety and functionality of scenic elements and rigging systems. To maintain high-quality technical standards, managing over-hire staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Technical Theatre, Music, Productions, Live Entertainment, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as OSHA 10 hour General Industry preferred.
