Romulus, MI . Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization specializing in industrial production. The
Facilities Maintenance Technician / Manager
is responsible for overseeing the upkeep, repair, and efficiency of the facility, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities of a Facilities Maintenance Technician / Manager
Perform and oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.). Troubleshoot and repair equipment, machinery, and building systems to minimize downtime. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, installations, and inspections. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records. Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations. Manage maintenance supplies, spare parts inventory, and purchase orders. Supervise and guide maintenance staff (if applicable) to ensure proper task completion. Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend cost-saving measures. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Job Requirements of a Facilities Maintenance Technician / Manager
Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Familiarity with CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) preferred. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. REQUIRED Experience and Education
High School Diploma or GED required; Technical certification or Associate’s degree preferred. 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facility environment. Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred for the Manager level. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and safety practices.
