Provides health care services on a full-time or part-time basis in an owned or affiliated Penn Medicine entity or The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Provides inpatient hospital services as required and fulfills medico-administrative duties associated with hospital medical staff membership. May participate in a minimum of 50 hours per year of active and high-quality teaching or equivalent service. Maintains license to practice medicine without restriction in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or location of affiliates, if applicable. Expected to provide direct patient care in the assigned Emergency Department(s) affiliated with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as an Emergency Department Pediatrician. Responsibilities
Work the agreed-upon annual clinical hours and oversee support personnel to provide exceptional care to all levels of acuity of the pediatric population served. Be an active member of the Division and participate in operational, quality and patient safety initiatives; participate in Divisional meetings. Possible appointment in the Clinical track if teaching requirements are met annually. Qualifications
M.D. with license to practice medicine without restriction in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey; DEA licensure. 0-1 year of related experience in a specified medical field. Must be Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Working Conditions
Office, library computer room; Requires extensive safety training and protective devices. Physical demands include occasional lifting (24-50 lb), standing or walking for extended periods, and various postures as needed. Job Location
