Overview
Patient Access Liaison I – Summa Health Full-Time Days, M-F 10:30am-7:00pm. Responsibilities
Assists callers and/or patients in: way-finding, appointment scheduling, pre-service registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, physician referral, initial screening of patient signs/symptoms, class scheduling, and any other questions or concerns. Provides a high level of customer service to present a positive impression of Summa Health. Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education Required: High school diploma/GED Post high school coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, public relations or related field preferred Experience and Training Required: One (1) year of experience performing customer service or general office support in any industry preferred Contact or call center experience preferred Experience in Registration, Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification, Financial counseling, Patient Accounts a plus Population Specific Competency: Ability to interact effectively with populations of patients/customers with understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity Knowledge of keyboard with high accuracy and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) Demonstrates communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to work well within a team, accept feedback, support team goals Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Attentiveness to detail Organizational Competencies: Appearance, Attitude, Courtesy, Concern, Communication, Teamwork, Safety Functional Competencies: Customer Service Orientation, Access Operations, Quality & Compliance Management, Physician & Patient Relations, Documentation & Reporting, Employee Engagement Personal Attributes: Customer Focus, Adaptability, Ability to follow directions, Communication, Professionalism, Enthusiasm, Positivity, Integrity, Results-oriented, Strong organizational skills Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods up to 12 hours depending on location Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as assigned Reliable transportation required Salary and Benefits
Salary: $17.43/hr - $20.92/hr. The range is base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
