Job Description Summary
The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II reports to the Pediatric Interventional Cardiac and Imaging Manager. Under indirect supervision, the Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer II provides high-quality echocardiograms for interpretation and diagnosis by a Pediatric Cardiologist. This role requires independent and efficient performance of clinical Pediatric Echo operations in hospital and procedural settings, entering full preliminary reports, covering all MUSC Pediatric Echo Lab locations and shifts including call rotation. The role also involves organizing and prioritizing patient exams and contributing to team efforts. Entity

Varies Job Description
Requirements include graduation from a Cardiovascular/Ultrasound program or equivalent, certification by ARDMS as RDCS or RCCS in Pediatrics, with Fetal Echocardiography preferred. A minimum of two years pediatric echocardiography experience is required, including M-Mode, 2-D, 3-D, Doppler, and color Doppler. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, and congenital heart disease is essential. Experience in Pediatric ICU and Cath Lab is preferred. Travel to outreach locations and on-call duties are required. Current BLS certification is mandatory. Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform various physical activities including standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working in various environments, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing detailed motor activities. Visual and auditory acuity, stress management, shift work, and other sensory and physical capabilities are also required.
