Overview

The Solt lab at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute of Biomedical Innovation and Technology, Department of Immunology and Microbiology, seeks outstanding, creative, independent, and highly motivated postdoctoral researchers. The NIH-funded position focuses on how nuclear receptors, specifically RORa, transcriptionally regulate TH17-mediated autoimmunity and chronic inflammation, largely in the context of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The project is multidisciplinary, employing immunology, mouse genetics, molecular biology, proteomics, and genomics. Responsibilities

Contribute to all aspects of the project, including experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation. Lead scientific and scholarly work within the lab; drive complex, innovative, and impactful projects. Develop and write fellowship applications; participate in group and departmental seminars, journal clubs, and conferences. Collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment; receive opportunities and support for career development and mentorship. Note: The position involves work in a laboratory and vivarium environment; details of essential functions will be discussed during the interview process. Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. (or MD/PhD) in biological sciences such as immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, or biochemistry, with a strong international publication record. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in immunology (cell culture, flow cytometry, mouse genetics, in vivo models of inflammation, etc.). Experience in biochemistry techniques (IP, Western blot, etc.). Experience with Epigenetics/Genomics approaches (ChIP, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, CUT&RUN, etc.). Basic bioinformatic knowledge (R, Python, or other languages) or ability to learn. Strong oral and written English communication, with good organization, attention to detail, and analytical abilities. Special Instructions To Applicants
