Job Type: Full-time, Non-exempt Hours: 12-hour shifts, 7PM–7AM; 7 days in a two-week period, including alternating weekends Salary Range: $64,464.40–$77,077 Work Setting: In-person and Field Service Area Location: May be assigned to a base office in Mission Hills Travel: Travel required by personal auto or air to meeting sites and other locations Summary of Functions

The RCC assists hospitals to identify and refer potential donors, gathers and interprets medical information to aid in determining donor suitability, discusses the plan of care with the medical team, provides donor management goals to preserve donation opportunities, facilitates completion and review of brain death notes, represents OneLegacy to the potential donor’s authorizing party, and, when appropriate, undertakes registry notification or approach for donation authorization. The RCC also assists in the donation process at a OneLegacy Recovery Center, including transportation, logistics, documentation, donor care, and organ recovery when necessary. Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

Referral Management Process: Respond promptly and appropriately to potential donor referrals to assess suitability and enhance the donation process. Establish and enhance relationships with hospital staff to increase referral activity. Introduce RCC to the referred patient’s bedside nurse and unit Charge Nurse to establish presence; ensure attending physician is aware of OneLegacy referral prior to family or AP approach. Collaborate with the Referral Triage Specialist (RTS), SOP-R, and Medical Director of Referral Management to manage active referrals. Access and review hospital medical records and populate the EMR per OneLegacy policy. Review patient medical records and discuss early derangements, current organ function, and current clinical plan with hospital staff; formulate a treatment plan at the direction of the Medical Director of Referral Management and coordinate interventions to optimize organ function and preserve donation. Communicate progression of active referrals to hospital staff. Review medico-legal brain death documentation for completeness and accuracy per hospital policy and applicable guidelines; provide direction to complete documentation and send to RTS for verification per OneLegacy policy. Perform Referral Intake Triage (RIT) duties, including answering calls for initial organ referrals, triaging referrals, and charting in the EMR with RTS to establish acuity. Review Not Brain Dead (NBD) status board for active referrals; conduct site visits on NBD referrals and chart in the EMR. Identify the Authorizing Party (AP) and any language requirements; document family dynamics and other relevant information to assess the AP and family prior to donation approach. Collaborate with hospital care team and OneLegacy partners in end-of-life discussions to present donation opportunities appropriately. Coordinate with OneLegacy Clinical Donor Management team to facilitate orders to bedside care providers during the donation process. Coroner notification/release; request coroner-related lab actions and attach records to digitalDONOR while charting in EMR. Referral Management Precepting

Act as a trainer for new RCCs under the direction of Referral Management Leadership and Education teams. Collaborate with Referral Management Leadership to monitor and maintain department training logs and forms; utilize training tools provided by Leadership and Education teams. Qualifications and Requirements

Education: EMT, Paramedic, or LVN license; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Required work experience in the medical field and medical terminology. Certification/License: California driver’s license, auto insurance per California standards, and reliable transportation. Benefits
