Summary The Production Supervisor will utilize leadership, coaching, and organizational skills to drive safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost initiatives in our fast‑paced dynamic Ponca City manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for maintaining the company’s current strengths while focusing on building toward the future. In addition, the role will create a positive work environment through problem resolution, continuous improvement, and rigorous management of shop floor activities. The position will help with our scheduling/delivery infrastructure, oversee shop floor productivity, and seek to improve daily/weekly business metrics while ensuring current operational plans are executed.
Duties
Motivate and lead production areas including Material Processing, Welding, Paint, and other areas as needed.
Drive core shop floor performance in safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost.
Manage productivity at the employee, machine, and department levels.
Support continuous improvement in manufacturing.
Assist the Manufacturing Manager in planning, developing, and optimizing new factory layout.
Partner with Safety and lead to upgrade safety protocols and drive a safety‑first culture.
Schedule with Production Coordinators to ensure orders are started and completed on time, including new machines and aftermarket parts.
Take an integral role in selecting, training, assigning, scheduling, and leading shop employees.
Support actions to correct inventory errors.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
3+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or other relevant industrial experience, with a preference for welding/fabrication.
Ability to use an ERP system (SAP) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Commitment to work schedules and employee attendance.
Strong coaching and leadership skills.
Proven ability to mediate conflict.
Demonstrated ability to motivate individuals toward team goals.
Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Desire to learn all facets of a complex manufacturing and assembly environment.
High standard of driving results through relationship and culture building.
Dependability, attention to detail, and ability to follow and interpret procedures.
Ability to multitask and meet project milestones.
Ability to proactively communicate with multiple customers on multiple projects.
Experience with shop floor safety procedures.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to develop and drive root‑cause corrective actions.
Capability to work within a robust Quality Management System.
