The
Building Engineer
will support facilities operations by monitoring, maintaining, and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems. This role is critical to ensuring optimal facility performance, safety, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities:
Perform
maintenance and repairs
on mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, and fire safety systems. Maintain and inspect
HVAC systems
and ensure they operate efficiently. Conduct and document
preventive maintenance programs
to extend equipment life. Comply with all
codes, regulations, and company safety directives . Manage
energy and efficiency programs
to reduce operational costs. Maintain accurate
building logs, reports, and administrative documentation . Support emergency maintenance and repair needs as required. Follow safety policies for the
use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials . Inspect systems such as fire alarms and environmental controls to ensure proper performance. Mentor peers and promote

by leading with professionalism and accountability. Required Experience:
4–5 years of experience
in building or facilities maintenance required. Experience working within
commercial, industrial, or multi-site environments. Hands-on experience with
mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs. Ability to
read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and work orders. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience using
CMMS systems
(e.g., Johnson Controls Metasys). Prior
shift management or supervisory
experience. Exposure to
energy management programs
and sustainability initiatives. Required Skills:
Strong
mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
capabilities. Ability to perform
preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Solid
documentation and reporting
skills. Preferred Skills:
EPA or Universal CFC certification
preferred. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams). Strong organizational and analytical skills. Additional Skills from Original Description:
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Shift/Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Weekly on-call rotation (paid if called in). Benefits:
