The Building Maintenance Engineer II is responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on facility buildings, grounds, and mechanical equipment. This position ensures safe, efficient, and timely maintenance operations while upholding guest service excellence and operational standards. Key Responsibilities

Complete work orders and repairs in a timely and thorough mannerMaintain cost‑effective repair and maintenance practicesRemain compliant with all applicable codes, including the National Electric CodeEvaluate equipment condition and recommend repair or replacement as neededDiagnose and correct malfunctioning equipment and systemsAdvise management on safety and cost‑effectiveness of equipment operationsConduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operationPrepare and maintain accurate documentation, including repair logs and maintenance recordsRequest equipment and supplies to maintain adequate inventoryPerform preventive maintenance and assist with installation of equipmentEnsure minimal equipment downtime to support optimal guest experienceOversee completion and documentation of work orders with accurate details of materials and laborMaintain a clean and safe working environmentAdhere to all safety, risk management, and environmental proceduresTrain Building Maintenance Engineer I team members on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenanceMaintain current knowledge of industry standards through continuing education and trainingPerform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience

Required:

Must be 19 years of age or olderHigh school diploma, GED, or relevant experienceTechnical degree or certification in Electrical or HVACFour (4) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Engineer (hospitality experience preferred)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to interpret and create schematics, blueprints, and technical diagramsExperience with electrical systems up to 480vAbility to estimate project time and material requirements accuratelyExperience using electronic test equipment and related toolsStrong leadership and training skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteCommitment to guest service excellence and ethical conductWorking knowledge of company internal controls and policies Preferred:
