The Building Maintenance Engineer II is responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on facility buildings, grounds, and mechanical equipment.

Swing Shift:

Tuesdays – Saturdays 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Compensation:

$24.00 /hour

Key Responsibilities:

Complete work orders and repairs in a timely and thorough manner

Maintain cost‑effective repair and maintenance practices

Remain compliant with all applicable codes, including the National Electric Code

Evaluate equipment condition and recommend repair or replacement as needed

Diagnose and correct malfunctioning equipment and systems

Advise management on safety and cost‑effectiveness of equipment operations

Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation

Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including repair logs and maintenance records

Request equipment and supplies to maintain adequate inventory

Perform preventive maintenance and assist with installation of equipment

Ensure minimal equipment downtime to support optimal guest experience

Oversee completion and documentation of work orders with accurate details of materials and labor

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Adhere to all safety, risk management, and environmental procedures

Train Building Maintenance Engineer I team members on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance

Maintain current knowledge of industry standards through continuing education and training

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

Must be 19 years of age or older

High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience

Technical degree or certification in Electrical or HVAC

Four (4) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Engineer (hospitality experience preferred)

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to interpret and create schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams

Experience with electrical systems up to 480 V

Ability to estimate project time and material requirements accurately

Experience using electronic test equipment and related tools

Strong leadership and training skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct

Working knowledge of company internal controls and policies

Preferred:

OSHA 10 certification

Journeyman or Trade certification

Valid driver’s license

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Exposure to weather extremes, confined spaces, loud noise, chemicals, fumes, dust, heights, and secondhand smoke

Requires mobility, agility, balance, coordination, and endurance for extended periods

Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs

Frequent bending, climbing, and use of hands and tools for mechanical work

Mental concentration and decision‑making under time pressure

Drug‑Free Workplace:

Schedule:

Tuesdays – Saturdays 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM. Team members must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.

Certification Requirements:

The position does not involve selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages. No compensation authority. NE Gaming License is required.
