Siemens Mobility is a North American leader in passenger railcar manufacturing. We are seeking an entry‑level Factory Commissioning Test Technician to join our team in Lexington, NC. This role focuses on commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing next‑generation light rail, locomotives, and coaches. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems is required. Position Overview
We are willing to train and support your growth in this role. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical commissioning, diagnose failures, and maintain safety standards across our manufacturing facility. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars Troubleshoot, document, and repair electrical and mechanical failures Utilize state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic test equipment Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards Communicate technical information verbally and in writing Work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Read, interpret, and understand written schematics Use PTUs to troubleshoot onboard systems Qualifications
High school diploma or GED 1+ year experience in electrical testing Proficient in electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting Associate’s degree in engineering or related field preferred Physical Demands
Comfortable working in non‑climate‑controlled environments Standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using hands to handle objects or tools Ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds Specific vision abilities: close and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus Benefits
