Diesel Technician/Mechanic III – Entry Level
Join Penske Truck Leasing as a Diesel Technician and accelerate your career while supporting our customers. In this role you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and minor repairs on a fleet of well‑maintained diesel engines.
Location: 6485 Stack Dr, Windsor, WI 53598
Main Responsibilities:
Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement, lubrication, electrical, and cooling system repairs on gasoline and diesel engines.
Partner with managers to learn new skills via Penske’s training and hands‑on coaching.
Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude; 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Problem-solving skills and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Basic computer skills.
Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies.
Full attendance record.
Driving responsibilities: must maintain a DOT driver qualification file, and CDL holders must comply with drug screening procedures.
Willingness to work required schedule, location, and travel for training.
Physical Requirements:
Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools and controls.
Work safely at heights with ladders and platforms.
Work in all weather conditions.
Lift 50 lbs/23 kg regularly and up to 100 lbs/45 kg occasionally.
