The Opportunity As a
Master Electrician , you’ll play a key role in ensuring all electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance. This role supports complex, high-demand environments where uptime and reliability are critical.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Systems Operations
Maintain and operate electrical systems supporting servers, UPS systems, switchboards, and emergency backup generators.
Oversee electrical panels, cabling, circuit breakers, transformers, and distribution systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Manage system layouts and configurations for maximum efficiency and code compliance.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Diagnose and repair faults or outages across electrical systems.
Conduct regular electrical testing (low-, medium-, and high-voltage), including insulation resistance and ground continuity.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on PDUs, panels, and backup systems.
Project Leadership & Coordination
Lead and mentor electrical teams, ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.
Coordinate with HVAC, mechanical, and networking teams to maintain system integration.
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce electrical safety procedures and maintain adherence to all local and codes.
Serve as a safety leader on-site, maintaining a culture of accountability.
Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen in best practices and compliance.
Ongoing Improvements
Identify system improvements for efficiency, uptime, and sustainability.
Recommend electrical upgrades supporting high-density power systems for modern data environments.
Stay current on evolving electrical technologies and standards.
Qualifications
Licensed
Master Electrician
with
5+ years
of hands-on experience in data centers, industrial, or high-demand environments.
Strong knowledge of
high-voltage systems, power distribution, and emergency power systems
(generators, UPS).
Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
Deep understanding of
NEC codes, OSHA standards, and NFPA 70E regulations .
Proven experience managing teams and electrical projects under critical timelines.
