Description
The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to patient care areas, preparing IV admixture solutions.
Answering the telephone and directing calls to appropriate staff.
Maintaining medication stock levels and proper storage to ensure safe and cost‑effective pharmaceutical services.
Proficient in basic computer skills and uses information systems, technology and automation to complete assigned tasks.
Estimated pay range: $17.79 - $23.13 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent (certification, training, experience).
Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
Additional Qualifications
Hospital experience preferred.
PTCB or ICPT certification preferred.
Minimum required experience: No experience required.
