The Division of Primary Care Pediatrics at UVA Health Children’s Hospital seeks candidates for a non-tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join their team at a new site named Riverside II (2335 Seminole Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22901). The site will house a traditional office model with preventive and acute care visits for established patients, including same-day acute care visits for UVA and non-UVA patients. The position is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing clinical practice, teaching, quality improvement, and advocacy. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications. The position requires excellent clinical and teaching skills and experience necessary to precept residents and medical students. The Division of Primary Care Pediatrics is currently comprised of 24 full- and part-time pediatricians and maintains collaborative relationships with pediatric subspecialists, surgical colleagues, and adult medicine colleagues. UVA Health System components include the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, University Physicians Group, and the Medical Center. The Medical Center is a 735-bed, level 1 trauma center serving as a primary, specialty, and sub-specialty hospital for central Virginia. UVA consists of 13 schools in Charlottesville, plus College at Wise in rural Southwest Virginia. Charlottesville is a cosmopolitan community with a small-town feel, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains region. UVA Health Children’s is ranked as the number 1 children’s hospital in Virginia by US News & World Report and is nationally ranked in five subspecialty areas. The University of Virginia is regularly ranked as a premier public institution in the United States.
