Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
is responsible for the overall upkeep, maintenance, and aesthetics of exterior grounds across commercial properties, including Winrock Park. This role combines
hands-on field work
with
leadership and coordination
of landscaping staff and contractors. Responsibilities include
asphalt and concrete repair, parking lot maintenance, power washing , and seasonal services like snow removal. The ideal candidate is proactive, leads by example, and works alongside the team to ensure all exterior areas are clean, safe, functional, and visually appealing. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Lead and participate in daily grounds and landscaping work across multiple sites. Plan, schedule, and assign tasks related to mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, weed control, pruning, and pond upkeep. Supervise and participate in parking lot and walkway maintenance, including asphalt patching, concrete repairs, striping, and sidewalk safety. Operate pressure washers to clean sidewalks, walls, signage, and parking structures. Monitor work quality, safety, and efficiency; ensure tasks are completed to standards and within budget. Train staff in equipment use, maintenance, and safety procedures; promote safe practices. Evaluate staff performance and complete timesheets on schedule. Manage inventory, tools, and materials; track equipment usage and maintenance. Coordinate with contractors for specialized work such as tree removal and pest control. Communicate daily with property management and other departments to coordinate needs and projects. Prepare cost estimates and assist in budget development for seasonal and special projects. Report safety hazards or equipment concerns; ensure team uses PPE and follows safety protocols. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least two years of supervisory experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance. Knowledge of landscaping equipment, irrigation, asphalt/concrete repair, and power tools.
