Construction Project Executive - Data Centers at Gray. Gray Construction is looking for a Project Executive to join their Data Center market in Dallas, Texas, Atlanta Georgia, or Phoenix, Arizona. Project ADMINISTRATION: Facilitates customer and team meetings, maintains detailed meeting minutes and action item registers, ensures startup meetings are held with appropriate team members, tracks and completes project action items, and ensures submittal reviews, status reports, closeout documents, and maintenance manuals are completed promptly. Regular site visits are required. FINANCIAL SUCCESS: Monitor progress, identify issues early during budget/cost reviews, develop corrective actions, and provide reports to leadership. Operate within budgetary limitations. Develop proposals and execution strategy for the project, evolve it through the proposal phase, and attain buy-in from Construction, A/E, MEP Services, and Field Ops with a reporting process to update Market Leaders. Manage purchasing of materials, subcontracts, equipment, and services to achieve savings within safety, quality, scheduling, training, and profitability requirements. Ensure change orders are issued according to procedures, and review red files and job cost reports monthly with the Site Manager. SCHEDULE PERFORMANCE: Oversee development and maintenance of the project master schedule, collaborate with Field Operations Managers, A/E Services, and MEP Services to assess progress, and implement corrective actions as needed. Document delays and justify extensions as required. RISK MANAGEMENT: Understand contractual terms in owner contracts and subcontracts, promote safety and quality programs, develop and monitor project risk management plans, assess and adjust plans with Field Operations, A/E Services, and MEP Services, and lead risk mitigation efforts. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Serve as primary customer contact and account manager beyond the Project Manager; create relationship and communication plans with customers, subcontractors, and consultants; coordinate with A/E Services; demonstrate Gray Core Values; ensure continuity of workflow in absence of staff. TEAM MEMBER DEVELOPMENT: Support Gray’s vision and values, monitor team cohesiveness, mentor and train Sr. Project Managers and Project Managers, and ensure training for Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers. COLLABORATION: Foster a cooperative environment among engineering/design and construction staff; maintain regular communication with other Project Executives and leadership. ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITY: Authority to execute Subcontract agreements, release early payments to subs and vendors, accept deviations from insurance limits, and execute customer change orders as delegated by leadership. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; minimum of ten years related experience and/or training. Seven consecutive years of total profit and loss accountability on multiple projects. Five years of experience managing all disciplines of design/build and/or hard bid projects as required for the market served. Experience with lump sum, GMP, cost plus construction management, and fee-based contracts; understanding of contractual language. Proven track record of increasing project profitability and knowledge of costs across engineering and design disciplines; ability to represent Gray as the primary point of contact in initial discussions. Experience handling changes in design/engineering/construction and their impact on cost, schedule, and construction management. Experience managing projects involving process or production equipment procurement/installation with total value exceeding $2M per project; knowledge of costs for discrete equipment components and installation procedures. Ability to mentor and train other project staff. Proven experience developing aggressive project schedules with variable factors such as type, area, and start dates. Proven experience in preparing cost estimates for design/build projects in industrial sectors. Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relationships with owners, colleagues, vendors, suppliers, and community stakeholders. Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications and government regulations; ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to present information and respond to questions. Ability to understand complex financial information. Mathematical Skills : Basic business math; ability to perform calculations in various units of measure. Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions. Other Skills : Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email); may require scheduling and/or estimating software knowledge.
