A highly regarded law firm is seeking a
Corporate Associate Attorney
with
3 to 5 years of experience
to join its
Los Angeles office . This role involves working on sophisticated corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and securities matters. The ideal candidate will bring strong drafting and analytical capabilities along with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Location Duties
Provide legal support on a range of corporate transactions including:
Mergers & acquisitions
Joint ventures
Securities offerings
Draft and negotiate transaction documents, shareholder agreements, and other corporate contracts
Support due diligence processes and corporate governance activities
Interface with clients and internal stakeholders throughout deal lifecycle
Ensure compliance with corporate, securities, and regulatory frameworks
Coordinate with cross-functional legal teams, including tax and finance
Requirements
3 to 5 years of corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting
Substantive exposure to M&A, securities, or joint venture deals
Excellent legal drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple deals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic performance required
Certifications
Active membership in the California State Bar (or eligibility for prompt admission)
Skills
Advanced legal research and writing abilities
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
Familiarity with corporate governance and securities compliance
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performance legal team
Private equity or finance experience is a plus, though not required
Experience in mid-size or large law firm environments preferred
