Responsibilities
Help create a culture that motivates teams to ensure zero defects in production.
Work across teams to understand enterprise quality requirements and ensure adoption of core processes and standards.
Implement the shift-left test strategy as the organization rearchitects its technology platform.
Leverage market-leading automation frameworks and tools across all levels of testing that integrate into the automated CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in product design reviews to ensure quality practices are baked into the software development and deployment lifecycle.
Work with internal teams to document test environment and test data management container strategies and provisioning for different types of testing activities.
Comprehend and decompose user stories/requirements to identify tests that need to be created and automated across all levels of testing.
Collaborate with QA engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in test automation engineering with API-based testing.
Preferred BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience writing code in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Working knowledge of IVR-focused test automation tools such as Cyara Velocity.
Automating API testing and using mocks, stubs, and virtual services (Requests in Python or Axios in JS/TS).
Extensive knowledge of API request/response handling and complex JSON structures.
Domain knowledge on IVR (Contact Center) applications such as Genesys Cloud IVR.
Understanding of AI topics in IVR technology (LLMs, classification models, voice-to-text transcription models).
Preferred experience with Agile frameworks, regression testing, SQL queries, and test management tools (e.g., Jira, qTest).
Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, GitLab, Docker.
Financial services technology or consumer banking testing experience.
Experience with Cyara Automation and full-solution stack testing (unit, business logic, contract, usability, functional, performance).
Knowledge of white-box testing practices and software engineering best practices for the full SDLC.
Ability to provide hands‑on training for testers in automation scripting and best practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; enthusiastic and curious about coding.
