Job Description Summary
Execute standard banking transactions for specific units or operating/processing departments in accordance with administrative and operational processes. Process a range of specialized and non‑standard transactions that usually require some research or investigation.
Job Summary Under routine supervision, uses entry level knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or training to assist in providing support in specific Operations activities within Raymond James Investment Management. Follows established procedures to perform routine tasks and receives guidance and direction to perform other non‑routine tasks with limited decision‑making responsibility. Resolves most questions and problems and refers new or unusual issues to a higher level. Routine contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information.
Responsibilities
Assists in maintaining multiple variations to the core operations process
Assist with opening new accounts, processing cash deposits and withdrawals
Assists in the responsibility of maintaining a variety of sponsor relationships
Identifies and notifies traders of events that affect trading
Contacts internal and external customers to assist in resolving trading problems as directed
Establishes, updates, and maintains records on data management systems, as required
Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge of
Office practices, procedures, and methods
Basic concepts, practices and procedures of securities trading
Basic accounting principles and procedures
Skill in
Organizational and time management sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Composing and editing correspondence and documentation
Updating and maintaining information systems
Maintaining data management systems
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, sufficient to create documents, spreadsheets, and business correspondence.
Ability to
Work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing of priorities
Read, interpret, analyze and apply transaction information
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with associates, and internal and external customers
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner
Assists in the responsibility of maintaining a variety of sponsor relationships
Education / Previous Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) year of experience in the financial services industry preferred
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training approved by Human Resources
Education Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance, Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE): Accounting
Work Experience General Experience - 13 months to 3 years
Certifications None specified
