Fire Alarm Service Technician Fire Alarm Service Technician needed in the Raleigh Triangle area. Company vehicle provided. Little to no overnight travel required.

Job Description This role is responsible for traveling to customer sites to investigate and repair reported fire alarm issues. They will work with the service manager to ensure fire alarm issues are diagnosed and repaired in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.

Responsibilities

Diagnose fire alarm issues

Propose solutions to eliminate reported issues

Troubleshoot and repair circuit issues such as ground faults and open circuits

Replace malfunctioning devices

Replace malfunctioning panel components

Modify fire alarm programming when necessary

Coordinate with the service manager to complete service calls as efficiently as possible

Report findings and results to customers

Complete service call documentation for each service call

Provide excellent customer service to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Requirements

Four or more years of related experience

Experience with a variety of fire alarm panels (Gamewell FCI, Firelite, & Silent Knight preferred)

Experience programming fire alarm panels

Effective interpersonal and time management skills

Effective communication skills and ability to work with others

NICET FAS certification preferred

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of electrical systems and low-voltage wiring

Familiarity with fire codes and safety standards

Use of tools like multimeters, wire strippers, and programming devices

Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams

Experience Level Expert Level

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
