Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a Supply Planner for a 12 month + Contract . The roles purpose is to support the creation of an overall supply plan for the specific plant(s) and 3rd party suppliers within the specific franchise scope. The role will interface with production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to ensure an integrated approach to supply planning within the franchise and take the lead in responding to the demand requirements from the business and ensuring that there is supply plan in place to communicate what needs to be produced and purchased to the manufacturing and supply base within the franchise.
Key Responsibilities :
Support Supply and Resource Planning : Assist in developing the Master Resource Plan and capacity plans based on demand forecasts to ensure adequate materials, components, and production capacity over a 24-month horizon.
Identify Risks and Opportunities : Highlight potential supply bottlenecks, capacity risks, or underutilization issues, and recommend actions to mitigate or optimize costs.
Inventory and Supply Management : Work with the Supply Planning Manager to set appropriate inventory and safety stock levels, considering demand volatility and lead times.
Plan Execution : Monitor and track the execution of supply plans with production and procurement teams, addressing performance deviations, back orders, and future supply risks.
Product Lifecycle Coordination : Ensure accurate planning for product phase-ins and phase-outs, and communicate changes and timing to relevant stakeholders.
Collaboration and Communication : Support effective alignment between supply and demand plans through regular reviews and clear communication with cross-functional teams.
Data and Systems Management : Maintain accurate supply planning master data to support effective decision-making and issue resolution.
Performance Tracking : Monitor and report on key KPIs, including Supply Plan Attainment, Safety Stock Health, Capacity Utilization, Back Orders, Lead Time, and Service Level.
Continuous Improvement : Investigate root causes of performance issues, recommend corrective actions, and verify invoice and payment data for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience -required
2+ years of planning experience -required
Demonstrated understanding of the extended process of material procurement, supplier capacity planning, inventory analysis, and advanced planning techniques
Demonstrated understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) structure, process, and outputs -preferred
Experience with PowerBI
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP
Preferably Bi-Lingual in another language other than English
