Overview
The Supervisor, Office of Treatment, Rehabilitation & Care Coordination Services, Bureau of Mental Health oversees the performance of contracted Treatment Services for adults with Serious Mental Illness in NYC. This role provides supervision of staff, strategic program oversight, and coordinates between the Office and research efforts of the Bureau.
Responsibilities include monitoring contracted treatment services, implementing corrective actions to improve program outcomes, and ensuring services are recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, person-centered, and aligned with evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
Supervise office staff to manage an assigned portfolio of contracted services in accordance with policies and procedures.
Oversee timely development of scopes of service that define purpose, delivery processes, and KPIs for evaluation.
Review budgets to ensure line items and deliverables support the scope and program implementation.
Provide guidance to contracted providers to promote quality and consistency in program oversight.
Ensure timely corrective action plans (CAPs) to resolve audit deficiencies or ongoing issues.
Maintain records, write reports, and prepare presentations; identify professional development needs and promote training for staff.
Conduct regular performance reviews of direct reports and manage an assigned program portfolio.
Contribute to design, execution, and interpretation of data, including KPI development and data verification.
Review KPIs to inform program performance evaluations, adjustments to scopes and budgets, and contract decisions.
Assist in the development of new programs, including identifying KPIs, data collection needs, RFPs, scopes of service, and program standards.
Coordinate with state regulatory bodies and community groups; address questions and concerns from providers and participants.
Support the establishment of the Office's strategic direction; participate in special projects to improve data collection and service delivery operations.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health program management or direct behavioral health service delivery.
At least 2 years of experience in monitoring contracted behavioral health or social services.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze and present data to groups and individuals.
Experience with performance management.
Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Strong computer and data management skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Master’s in Public Health.
