Commission Pridestaff has partnered with a leading survey company based in Houston, Texas, with a strong reputation for delivering accurate and reliable surveying services. Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Leader to drive growth and expand our market presence in Houston and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development within the surveying, engineering, or a related professional services industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, capable of identifying new opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and closing deals. Key Responsibilities: Market Analysis & Strategy:
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, target industries, and potential clients within the Houston metropolitan area and beyond. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets and market share growth. Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business leads through various channels, including networking, industry events, cold outreach, and referrals. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients. Understand their needs, challenges, and project requirements to effectively position our services. Proposal Development & Presentation:
Collaborate with technical teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and service agreements tailored to client needs. Present solutions confidently and persuasively to potential clients. Sales & Negotiation:
Lead the sales cycle from initial contact to close, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction. Brand Promotion:
Represent [Your Company Name] at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Reporting & Forecasting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status. Provide regular reports and forecasts on business development progress to senior management. Market Feedback:
Gather and relay market intelligence, client feedback, and competitive insights to help refine service offerings and inform strategic decisions. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or account management within the surveying, engineering, construction, or real estate sectors. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of surveying principles, technologies, and industry trends. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel locally within the Houston area as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Existing network of contacts within the Houston surveying, engineering, or development community. Familiarity with specific surveying software or technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LiDAR). Seniority level
