IT Support Specialist: Endpoint Management and IT Systems (4730)
We are seeking an
IT Support Specialist
to join our team and contribute to the organization’s IT operations. This role centers on deploying and managing endpoints across diverse systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and providing technical support to end users. The IT Support Specialist will also play a key role in optimizing endpoint performance and maintaining detailed documentation of IT processes, supporting the overall efficiency and reliability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy and configure endpoints running Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms, with a strong emphasis on Ubuntu systems.
Ensure all endpoints meet performance, security, and compliance standards using automated deployment tools.
Manage the lifecycle of endpoints, including inventory management, asset tracking, and system refreshes.
Use Microsoft Intune and Landscape for endpoint configuration and compliance management.
Assist in ensuring that endpoints adhere to regulatory requirements, including CMMC 2.0 Level 2, industry best practices, and organizational policies.
Provide end‑user support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, improving user experience.
Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and compliance reports for IT staff and management.
Support basic troubleshooting of Ubiquiti‑based campus network systems.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience with Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu, including endpoint deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing management in an enterprise environment.
1-2 years of experience in IT support or a related field. High School Diploma or GED (4‑year degree preferred).
Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 GCC‑High environment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for hardware and software issues.
Ability to document technical processes and communicate effectively with IT staff and end users.
Desired Qualifications
Exposure to IT compliance frameworks such as CMMC 2.0 or similar standards.
Willingness to learn and grow into advanced IT roles, including infrastructure and network management.
Interest in testing and implementing new technologies to improve IT operations.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
