ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs housekeeping and/or janitorial duties primarily in public areas, occasionally apartment turnovers. Will be assigned across multiple buildings to provide a clean and safe environment.

Common Area Cleaning

Shampoo Carpets

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors

Scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors as needed

Commercial kitchen cleaning

Window Washing

Patio cleaning

Apartment Turnover

Cleans and disinfects sinks, cabinets, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and related surfaces

Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequently pushes/pulls housekeeping carts weighing up to 300 lb, occasionally lifts pails of water weighing up to 50 lb, frequently carries under 10 lb, occasionally carries 10–25 lb

Reaches above, at or below shoulder height frequently; occasionally kneels or squats

Stoops, bends, twists

Occasionally will work on a stepladder or climb stairs

50% of workdays are spent walking; 50% standing
