AdventHealth Ambulatory Services — MG 8000 Red Bug Lake Rd, Oviedo 32765 (Work Locations: 8000 Red Bug Lake Rd, Oviedo, FL) Responsibilities
Under general supervision performs General Sonographic procedures in accordance with department protocols. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with patients and colleagues. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting bodies. Consistently obtains high-quality scans and follows exam protocols; uses two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before administering exam. Reviews images on Ultrasound machine or PACS (IMPAX) and completes Ultrasound worksheet timely; rescans per Radiologist request; open to critique from Radiologist or Manager/Educator. Completes exams timely; evaluates patient prep status; coordinates patient throughput; participates in system back-up call rotation as required. Updates exam status in the computer system, ensures charges match procedures, and confirms proper exam/patient assignment before releasing images to PACS; notifies Radiologist Facilitator for after-hours cases as needed. Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment safely; adheres to infection control standards; handles hazardous materials training as required; follows PPE guidelines and hand hygiene. Performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and demonstrates age-appropriate skills for neonate to geriatric patients; willing to rotate between campuses/departments and adapt to new technologies and protocols. Qualifications
Graduate of an Ultrasound Program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification ARDMS, ARRT and/or CCI credentials to include: RDMS - Abdomen (AB) and RDMS - Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) and one of the following: RDMS - Breast OR ARRT RT(BS) OR RT(S) with one of the following: RDMS - Breast OR ARRT RT(BS) Preferred qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field RDMS - Vascular (RVT) OR RVS with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) OR ARRT RT(VS) Benefits and additional information: Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus; Benefits from Day One; Paid Days Off from Day One; Mental Health Resources and Support.
