SSI needs to add Mechanical Drafter positions our current list of services provided to the U.S. Navy. This is a contingent opportunity requiring a signed letter of intent for proposal use.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed working diagrams, drawings, and computer models of mechanical devices, parts, andassemblies, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. Drawings/models includevarious views, sectional profiles, irregular or reverse curves, hidden lines, and small or intricate details.
Workrequires use of most of the conventional drafting and Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques and a workingknowledge of the terms and procedures of the occupation. Work requires the ability to perform arithmeticcomputations using formulas.
Prepares complete sets of complex drawings or computer models that includemultiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent plus successful completion of trade or technical school, orundergraduate or military school course in drafting, mechanical drawing, or engineering drawing.
A minimum of sixyears of experience in performing the stated functions.
