Responsibilities
Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures, operating all Radiology equipment/devices and computer software/programs.
Support Vascular Surgeons/Interventional Radiologists with procedures including AAA, peripheral bypass, and others in the operating room.
Review requests for interventional exams and prepare patients accordingly.
Position patients and ensure safety and comfort during examinations, providing explanations to reduce anxiety.
Apply radiographic protection principles to minimize radiation exposure.
Coordinate workflow for maximum productivity.
Assist with contrast media administration and arterial, venous, and percutaneous procedures.
Participate in professional development and meet continuing education requirements.
Maintain equipment, perform safety checks, and ensure proper functioning of all devices.
Utilize hospital software, including PACS, for image transfer and quality checks.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Registered by the ARRT and licensed by the State of Massachusetts.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of two years of radiology experience post-technical school.
Position Details Per Diem hours, rotating days, weekends, and holidays.
Location: Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, MA.
Department: CCH-Operating Room.
