Position Summary The
Primary Therapist
is responsible for delivering high‑quality clinical services to clients across all levels of care. This role includes providing individual therapy, facilitating group therapy, conducting psychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting clients through their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations upon admission.
Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical team.
Provide weekly individual therapy sessions (frequency may vary by level of care).
Facilitate daily or weekly process and psychoeducational groups.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with organizational, state, and licensing standards.
Coordinate with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case consultations, and discharge planning.
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, including during psychiatric or medical escalations.
Maintain communication with families and outside providers, as appropriate, and with consent.
Support a therapeutic environment that prioritizes safety, dignity, and healing.
Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required).
Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of WI (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.).
Experience working in substance use and/or dual diagnosis treatment settings preferred.
Knowledge of ASAM criteria, DSM‑5, and trauma‑informed care principles.
Strong group facilitation and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to upholding a client‑centered, recovery‑oriented approach.
Schedule Full‑time.
