We are hiring a
Phlebotomist
to serve as a Patient Services Representative II at Synectics Inc. The role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation while providing a welcoming, trustworthy experience for patients.
Responsibilities
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established practices and procedures.
Maintain direct, caring contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining the procedure.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Confirm patient demographic information and signatures post‑venipuncture, ensuring tubes are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Show organizational commitment and promote a positive image of Synectics Inc. to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong independent work ethic with minimal on‑site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions based on established procedures.
Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
Superior customer focus with clear communication and the ability to embrace change.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Three years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data‑entry experience.
Shift/time‑zone: Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am – 1:00 pm.
