Applies knowledge of sanitation techniques and laboratory safety. Applies knowledge of research and testing procedures and techniques, and of animal handling, care and welfare. Performs a variety of procedures supporting laboratory research. May provide limited surgical assistance. Follows established directions and procedures. Frequent contacts with co-workers, supervisors, students, faculty, and research staff to discuss study techniques or results or handling and care of animals. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Minimum Requirements
Education: Associate\'s degree Experience: At least 2 years of lab experience which may include student experience. Bachelor\'s degree in related science will be considered in lieu of experience. Licensure: None. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Biology/Biochemistry/Microbiology or in similar fields. Experience in a lab setting. Physical Demands
This position can spend extensive periods of time standing and squatting while conducting experiments or caring for animals. Also requires keyboarding and other bench work and animal procedures requiring finer finger manipulation. How to Apply
