Overview
Histology Technologist - Travel Position Location: Augusta, ME Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4x10s Days, Nights Pay: $2157/week Responsibilities
Prepare and process tissue samples, including embedding, microtomy, and staining. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microtomes, cryostats, and stainers. Perform special stains and immunohistochemistry procedures as required. Ensure accurate specimen labeling, handling, and documentation. Follow quality assurance, safety, and infection control standards. Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support timely diagnosis. Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related field Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Histotechnology program 1+ years of histology experience ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) Current BLS certification Benefits
