Key Responsibilities:

Pastry Production:

Lead and oversee the production of a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our restaurants and special events.

Menu Development:

Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop innovative pastry menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and the unique flavors of Seychelles.

Quality Control:

Ensure consistency and excellence in all pastry creations, maintaining Waldorf Astoria's renowned standards for taste, presentation, and craftsmanship.

Team Leadership:

Inspire and mentor pastry team members, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Provide guidance on techniques, recipes, and best practices.

Inventory Management:

Manage pastry inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.

Culinary degree or certification in pastry arts.

Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavors.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Creativity and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering exceptional pastry experiences.
