Practical Nursing Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)
Virginia Western Community College is accepting applications for part-time, Adjunct Faculty for our Practical Nursing Program in the School of Health Professions. Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. A current Registered Nurse (RN) license is required. Current CPR certification is required. A minimum of two years of related nursing occupational experience. The successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, up-to-date computer skills to support instructional activities, as well as the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds. Additional Considerations: Previous teaching experience in a Practical Nursing Program, or other nursing program, and experience using instructional technology are desired. Experience teaching in a college setting. Applications will be received and considered on a continuous basis, as openings occur.
