What you’ll do at DBH We are hiring for

Social Worker

within the social work department of the

Community Support Network , located on the campus of the Columbus Development Center headquartered within Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare. If licensed as a LISW the position would be as an SW2; if licensed as a LSW the position would be as an SW1.

What you will do

Plans, coordinates, provides assistance to the Treatmentteam clients in IDDT/ACT model of care, including, but not limited to: IDDT Stage-Wise treatment, group treatment, individual counseling, SAMI assessment & treatment planning. Trains & mentors team staff in IDDT technology and other intervention modalities.

Performs psychosocial interventions with client in an individual, family or group forum.

Monitors clients response to treatment as prescribed in the client\'s treatment plan.

Assists clients in securing benefits & other community resources. Provides outreach services to CSN clients & counseling services in the community setting such as client homes;

Daily travel into the Franklin County community to visit clients in their residence, assist them with appointments, facilitate therapy sessions (individual or group), etc.

Conducts & facilitates individualized service planning with assigned clients.

Maintains appropriate licensure for provision of services offered.

Prepares documentation as required: documents all services, writes & maintains case records, provides data & information needed to complete service billing.

Provide assistance/consultation to non-licensed clinical staff. Assist in developing training programs for non-licensed clinical staff.

Acquire & maintain proficiency level through continuing education in SAMI/IDDT & ACT principals including Motivational Interviewing, stages of change & appropriate interventions for each stage;

Keep current with CSN Directives Manuals; participates in continuing professional development; attends appropriate conferences, workshops & training sessions.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at

Step 1

of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Requires current license as social worker (i.e., LSW or LISW) as issued by State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage & Family Therapist Board in accordance with ORC 4757.28. Pursuant to ORC 4757.41 (A)(5) any person engaging in social work or professional counseling as a civil service employee as defined in section 124.01 of the Revised Code who has at least two years of service as of July 10, 2014 is exempt from current licensure as social worker (i.e. LSW) requirement.
