The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is seeking two Junior Engineers for Construction Management 2 – Queens South and/or Southeast Queens.
Successful candidates will receive hands-on training and undertake engineering tasks ranging from moderate to complex, including research, investigations, assessments, civil engineering tasks under supervision, and participation in design, drafting, cost estimation, site inspections, and surveys.
Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The NYC Department of Design and Construction does not sponsor visas. Applicants must meet all requirements at application time.

Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in construction inspection or management; or Four years of full-time experience in building construction as a journeyperson; or Valid license as a professional engineer or registered architect; or Baccalaureate degree in related fields such as architecture, construction, or engineering; or A combination of experience and education totaling four years. License Requirement : Valid NY State Motor Vehicle Driver License, maintained during employment. Preferred Skills : Excellent communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, knowledge of infrastructure construction, familiarity with NYC DOT, NYS DOT, NYC DEP specs, MUTCD, AASHTO standards, understanding of NYC infrastructure, proficiency in Primavera P6, ENV SP credential, valid driver’s license, personal vehicle (preferred). 55a Program : Open to qualified persons with disabilities eligible for the 55-a Program.
