As a Dining Room Manager at Printemps, you will work to support our staff to successfully provide guests with a service that is warm, knowledgeable & noticeably appreciative. We are looking for a candidate that takes a archaic and hands on approach to management and is willing to lead by example and with empathy. As a Dining Room Manager at Printemps, you will work closely with senior management and Human Resources to ensure that restaurant standards and policies are represented clearly to the team and are being followed. In addition to being present on the floor during service, your job duties will include administrative tasks such as composing daily reports, cash handling, covid check ins/temperatures, ordering & closing the restaurant. Kent Hospitality Group believes in a ‘whole house’ mentality and we expect all departments (Pastry, Savory, Dining Room, and Facilities) to support and motivate each other to achieve our goal of guest satisfaction. As a Dining Room Manager, you will interact with all of these departments regularly and should be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with your fellow managers & line employees. This is a full time position and requires flexible schedule availability: weeknights and weekends. Our restaurants offer access to insurance enrollments (must maintain 25 hours per week), no cost life insurance, a short term disability policy, an Employee Assistance Program (with access to free mental health counseling), dining discounts, referral bonuses, and more! Responsibilities and Requirements
Must have 2 years + experience in a NYC restaurant as a Manager Have a warm, positive, and noticeably appreciative demeanor towards guests and colleagues Must demonstrate strong food, wine, and spirits knowledge and eagerness to continue education Be comfortable using a digital point of sales system. Be able to effectively communicate, give and take constructive criticism, and productively lead in a small team dynamic. Must be able to easily adapt and improvise in order to personalize service for each guest Must have a strong focus, heightened attention to detail, precise organizational skills and a passion for the hospitality industry Have full schedule availability, including weekends and holidays Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards Physical Demands
Be able to stand for extended periods of time [over 5 hours] Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds steadily Be comfortable bending, sitting, walking extended distances including up and down flights of stairs, and moving.
