Overview
Entry Level Chemical / Process Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities – Adv. Manufacturing team in either Greenville, SC, Appleton, WI, or Pittsburgh, PA, on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. Responsibilities
Work on state-of-the-art projects, implementing, modifying, and maintaining process designs, while assisting with development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications. Develop flow diagrams, perform sizing calculations for pipe and equipment, and develop process specifications under guidance of professional engineers and senior technical staff. Assist activities ensuring design and construction conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. Build technical skills by utilizing software such as PipeFlo, AFT Fathom, Bluebeam, and SmartPlant. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Basic understanding of process design principles and standards Relevant internship experience Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred qualifications
Experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Basic knowledge of ASPEN, PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and SmartPlant Previous exposure to manufacturing processes, process engineering and design activities Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate or on track to obtain Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings Compensation
Base pay range: $58,656.00/yr - $85,900.00/yr. The range is provided by Jacobs; actual pay will be based on skills and experience. The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $85,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Benefits and policies
