Summa Health - Spine and Neuroscience Center, 3378 W. Market St., Suite B, Fairlawn, OH 44333, is seeking a Physical Therapist. The schedule is M/W 7:30a-4:00p, T/TH 10a-7p, F 7:30a-3p, with weekend rotation for Saturday coverage 7a-1p (typically 1x per month). The Summa Health Spine and Neuroscience Center is an outpatient facility offering patients and families access to Summa's compassionate care. From Neurology to physical therapy, the Summa Health Spine and Neuroscience Center provides unique opportunities to access quality care under one roof. Summary : Evaluates, establishes treatment plans, and administers a medically prescribed physical therapy program in accordance with professional guidelines as described by the American Physical Therapy Association, State of Ohio, and Summa Health System/Rehabilitation Services requirements. Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor's Degree and Certification in Physical Therapy, Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Current License issued by the Physical Therapy Board to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio, and Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (CPR) certification through the American Heart Association. Professional verbal and written communication skills required for communication to referral sources, customer relations, interdisciplinary care, and other stakeholders. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect, dignity, cultural compassion, diversity, and inclusion. Must be able to meet the physical demands of work environment. Must be willing to advocate for and work with persons with all disabilities/conditions. Show flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constraints and demands placed on services/service delivery. Assumes accountability for effectively demonstrating Service Excellence Care and following Standards of Behavior, Six Commitments, and department policies and procedures and department work expectations. Successfully completes annual competency requirements. Minimally provides 40 hours clinical care annually (PRN only). Level of Physical Demands: Very Heavy, Exerts in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.
