Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for Community Medical Center.
Community Medical Center is a 592‑bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world‑class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state's newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County's largest and most active health‑care facility, caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.
Qualifications Required:
Certified nursing assistant required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
BLS required (American Heart Association).
Preferred:
Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred.
Scheduling Requirements
Day Shift, 24 hours per week, 6 a‑6:30 p.
Essential Functions
The Certified Nursing Assistant is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients.
Accurately obtains vital signs, weights, and documents on appropriate tools.
Assists and prepares the patient for procedures/surgery and post‑procedure/surgery as directed by the RN.
Provides patient care, based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in the assigned service.
Ensures effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
Maintains ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding the status of the patient's care.
Participates in collaboration of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.
