Position Summary The UNC Department of Psychiatry seeks a Licensed Psychologist to serve as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (CEED). This 1.0 FTE role involves teamwork within a multidisciplinary framework to provide assessments and interventions for individuals with eating disorders across the lifespan. Primary responsibilities include in‑person and virtual clinical services (individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, diagnostic evaluations) in outpatient and inpatient settings; participation in team meetings and conferences; opportunities for teaching and supervising trainees; involvement in research as a clinical trial therapist or contributor to study design and publication; and presentation of research at professional conferences.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

A Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

Licensed in the state of North Carolina prior to start date.

Experience with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family‑based treatment (FBT), enhanced CBT (CBT‑E), or CBT for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT‑AR).

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Post‑doctoral fellowship or experience using evidence‑based interventions for eating disorder treatment and experience providing treatment across various levels of care.
