MRI Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth: Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth Outpatient Center. Operates MRI equipment, prepares exam room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provides excellent patient care. Practices proper MRI safety techniques with all patients, visitors, and employees. Qualifications: Education High School diploma or equivalent Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology Licensure/Certification Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) Certification Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License Current BLS certification Specific Job Experience Two to five years’ experience specific to MRI Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Operate MRI equipment, prepare exam room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provide excellent patient care throughout the facility. Practice proper MRI safety techniques with all patients, visitors, and employees. Perform all Quality control checks, as prescribed. Maintain accurate QC logs, service records, etc. Perform high-quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination and document any deviations. Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures. Investigate promptly and follow up on unusual incidents and communicate with Radiology Leadership. Take emergency call as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Communicate with radiologists to establish requirements of nonstandard examinations and determine appropriate technical factors. Ensure care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards. Screen all patients and visitors entering Zone 3. Monitor equipment and patient during the exam to assess changes in patient condition. Assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions based on the age group served. Discuss treatment/service and provide education information to patients/families in the age group served. Utilize Electronic Health Record for patient documentation.
