Location:
Roanoke, VA . Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $41.00/hr. Hourly Range: $18.00 - $21.00. Travel / on call / emergency response required.
All new hires must attend a two‑week training academy; travel expenses are paid by the company and per diem is provided.

Responsibilities
Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, powered industrial tools, and vibration‑producing tools.
Wear and properly use a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection in multiple combinations.
Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Work in atmospheres and locations with potential exposure to hazardous, toxic, or corrosive chemical and physical agents.
Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and low‑clearance areas.
Work at elevations including ladders and scaffolding.
Assist in field sampling activities and meter calibration.
Climb ladders, scaffolding, and into/out of trucks, tanks, and various containers.
Work extended (> 8 hours) periods.
Attend all compliance and safety update meetings.
Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
Safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary.
Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
Safely operate vehicles per U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
Observe all corporate and environmental health and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
Site‑remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform required physical functions.
Continuing employment condition: be on call for emergency response; weekend and holiday work may be required; emergencies may extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12‑24 hours.
Successfully complete background check, drug test, and physical exam.
Meet OSHA respirator facial hair standards if respirator required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous relevant labor experience.
